The West Papua Advocacy Team and ETAN are suspending publication West Papua Report. Publication of the more than ten-year old report will remain on hold while we gauge interest and support and recruit additional volunteers to help with its production. In a revived West Papua Report, we want to strengthen its analytical focus, continue to highlight key events affecting West Papua, and maintain its attention to the impacts of U.S. policy.

Since the inception of the report, the international West Papua solidarity community has developed a number of excellent sites, including West Papua Media Alerts and the monthly news summary produced by the Australia West Papua Association(Sydney). The  West Papua News email listserv continues to forward reports of these and other organizations, as well as other english-language news. In conjunction with the East Timor and IndonesiaActionNetwork (ETAN), WPAT will continue to work in support of West Papuan human rights, including the right of self-determination, through advocacy and public education and by publishing periodic media releases, action alerts, and background reports. Back issues of the Report remain availablehere.
